FRANKLYN ROSS WELLON Deer Lake, NL January 18th, 1947 - May 24th, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Franklyn Ross Wellon announce his passing on Sunday, May 24th, 2009 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital after a courage battle with cancer at the age of 62 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his brothers: David (Ruth), Corner Brook and Brian (Patricia), Deer Lake; sisters: Mary (Gray) Huxter, Buchans, Audrey (Nelson) Newbury, Conception Bay South and Shirley Wellon, Sarnia, Ont; sister-in-law Joan Wellon, Conception Bay South; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Agnes Wellon and brother Samuel. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, Wight’s Road.. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Newfoundland and Labrador Head Injury Association. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
