Loretta Phoebe Payne Corner Brook, NL 1931 - 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Loretta Payne announce that she passed peacefully while surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Western Memorial Hospital at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her children Anne (Ron) Morris, Randy (Mary) Payne, Don (Donna) Payne, Debbie (Ed) Crocker, Shawn (Nang) Payne, Michele (Dave) Matthews, Michael (Paula) Payne and Jamie (Hannah) Payne; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Blaine, grandson Preston, parents Israel and Alice Dove; sisters, Georgina Jenkins, Louise Rideout, Joyce Temple and brother Norman Dove. Mom raised a large family and was always very dedicated to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. We came first and she would always do without necessities for herself to give us the little extras. She was a great Mom and we will miss her forever. Due to Covid Government Restrictions there will be a private family visitation followed by a private family service on Tuesday, December 29th, 2020 from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, officiated by The Venerable Ed King, followed by interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made in Mom’s memory to the Shriners, The Salvation Army or St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Curling.
