Obituary of Edith Martha Tulk

Please share a memory of Edith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Edith Martha Tulk February 15, 1935 – December 10, 2020 Edith Martha Tulk passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving daughter Norma while listening to one of her favourite hymns “He Walks with Me” on December 10, 2020 at 4:10 pm in Richmond Hill, Ontario. She is now reunited with her beloved husband Raymond Martin Tulk. She met him on the Northern Ranger and it was love at first sight. As her spirit joins him in the heavens her body will rest by his side in Jacksons Arm, Newfoundland where they shared a short but devoted love together until his untimely passing on July 3, 1967. Edith was born to Elizabeth and Fredrick Loder in Williamsport Newfoundland on February 15, 1935. She had a kind and loving relationship to her siblings Stewart, Richard, Gordon, Herbert, Rita, Fredrick, Mary, Shirley, Isabella and half brother Ches Randall. Through her union with Raymond, she was embraced by the Tulk family: Brothers-in-law George (Joan), Maurice (Jean), Jim (Sandra); Sisters-in-law Mary, Joan (Donald), Bonnie (Wilson). Father-in-law Walter and Mother-in-law Pearl. Following the death of Raymond, Edith raised their four children: Karen, Elizabeth, Norma and Robert. Edith was a devout grandmother to Nicole, Jason, Joshua, Sasha, Lisa, Lindsey, Danielle, Justin, Amanda, Nika, Holly and Robbie; great grandmother to Jack, Sebastian, Milukan, Milosz, Feliks and Gage. Children were the light of her life, beginning with the multi-generations of children she taught during her 28-year teaching career in Jacksons Arm. The family will be having a private viewing at Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Deer Lake on Thursday, followed by her funeral service Friday, December 18th at 11:00 am from the Anglican Church in Jacksons Arm, with Reverend Charlene Laing officiating to a maximum of 50 people in compliance with Covid-19 government regulations. Interment will follow at the family plot. Her love will always light our way. Until we meet again the memories, we shared will be etched in our hearts forever.
