It is with incredible sadness that the family of the late John Philip "Phil" Benoite announces his passing on December 2nd, 2020, at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Charity; son Jonathan (Matthew); grandson Jensen; brothers: Wilson (Queenie), Calvin (Audrey), Brian (Maxine), Bruce (Eva), Leonard (Vedran); Sisters: Lorraine, Kathleen, Denise; Sisters-in-law: Sarah Francis, Mary Ellen, Vida (Sidney), Elizabeth (Gordon), Bernice, Caroline (Rowland), Martha (Samuel), Diane (William), Susie (Jean); Brothers-in-law: William (Lucy), Reginald (Nora), Jeremiah; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Philip and Annie, and his brothers Lawrence, Garland, and William. Phil was a loving, dedicated husband, and wonderful father and grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman with a unique sense of humour and sharp wit. In keeping with his wish’s cremation has taken place and there will no service at this time. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in his name to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
