CHARLES W. LOCKYER Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Charles W. Lockyer announce his passing at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s on Thursday, April 16th, 2009 at the age of 58 years. He was an inspiration to all who knew him. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and he lifted the spirits of everyone around him with his positive outlook and hope. He will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife Thelma of 38 years, sons Cory (Holly) and Paul (Colleen), his two precious grandchildren: Braden and Riley, his mother Mildred Lockyer, his siblings Bob (Patricia), Mt. Pearl, Marie (Tom Rideout), Corner Brook, Violet Lockyer, Corner Brook, Cyril (Toni), Corner Brook, Millie (Dale), Medicine Hat, AB, Saul (Jean), St. John’s, Larry Wolfe, Massachusetts, brother-in-law Larry O’Quinn (Lydia), Corner Brook, his two buddies Clev Best and Sam Thorn. As well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Robert Lockyer, his mother and father-in-law Myrtle and Samuel O’Quinn and brother-in-law Joseph Mullins. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Friday between 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, April 19th at 2:00 PM from All Saints’ Anglican Church, Clarence Street with Rev. Derek Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations to the Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
