CAINES Mary Alice Bird Cove, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Alice Caines announce her passing on Friday, April 3rd, 2009 at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders in her 93rd year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Josephine (Aloysius) Caines, Theresa (Raphael) Mahar, Geraldine (Eli) Rogers, Maggie (Jim) Doyle, Floria (Jerry) Murphy, Moses (Iona) Caines, James Emmanuel (Clarice) Caines, Prim (Augustine) Caines, Cliff (Sybil) Caines, Victor (Marina) Caines and Joe (Alice) Caines, 39 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren, sister and brothers and a large circle of special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Moses, son Baby Michael, daughters Baby Mary, Eudora and husband Raphael Caines, grandson Jeremy Caines, son-in-law Simon Gould, parents Theresa and James Pittman, sisters Catherine Kennedy, Nellie Pittman and Florence Gould, brothers Michael John Pittman, Ambrose Rumbolt and John Pittman. The family received friends at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church in Bird Cove on Saturday, Sunday and Monday from where the funeral service took place on Tuesday, April 7th at 11:00 AM with Father Roger officiating. Interment followed at the Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
