PATEY Gertrude Elizabeth Port Aux Basques, NL June 13, 1926 - March 7, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gertrude Patey announce her passing at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre on Saturday, March 7th, 2009 at the age of 82 years. She was predeceased by husband William Patey; parents: Annie (nee Osmond) and Robert Patey; sister Mary Hodder; brothers: George and Norman Patey. Leaving to mourn sister Emily Short of Cape Ray; brothers: Russ (Gertie) of Port Aux Basques and Isaac (Nora) of Cape Ray; life time friend Monford Strickland, along with a large circle of nieces & great-nieces, nephews & great-nephews, many friends, and her Extended Care family: Martha Francis, Maude Lomond and Gertie Bryan. Friends visited Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Port Aux Basques on Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will tke place at St. James Anglican Church on Monday, March 9th at 2:00 p.m., with interment following at the Church Cemetery. Reverend M. Boothe officiating. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations made to St. James Anglican Church.
