It is with great sadness that the family of Leo Joseph, age 89 of Corner Brook announce his passing on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital. Born in Corner Brook he was the son of the late Dufie and Josephine Joseph of Corner Brook. Leo is survived by his wife Ramona (Mona) Joseph of 67 years; sons: Gerald Joseph (Shirley) and Brian Joseph; grandchildren: Andrew (Loriann), Scott and one great-grandchild Vivianne whom he loved dearly; sisters: Catherine, Marina (James Hartley); brother Dufie Joseph (Cheryl); sisters-in-law: Shirley Fudge (Raymond), Muriel Hinkle (Robert) and Helen Joseph; as well as a large number of nieces and nephews from both sides of the family. Leo was predeceased by brothers Johnny, Michael, Patrick (Jackie), Donnie (Mary) and Anthony, sisters Doreen (Paul) Rose, Mary (Clem) and Genevieve (Mike), brother-in-law Max (Shirley) Reid, sister-in-law Doris Reid. Leo had a lifetime work commitment with Corner Brook Garage. He lived his passion at Marble Mountain as an avid skier and instructor. He thoroughly enjoyed gardening as witnessed by his own beautiful garden. He was also an avid hockey fan. Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Saturday from the hours of 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. where the funeral service will follow immediately at the Chapel with Father Edward Terry officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
