Obituary of Ivy Jane Stone

IVY JANE STONE

1932 -2019

Surrounded by her loving family, Ivy Jane Stone passed peacefully away on September 9, 2019 at the Carmelite House Palliative Care Unit, Grand Falls-Windsor.  She was 87 years of age. Predeceased by her husband, Cyril Stone.   Left to mourn daughter Rhonda (Varrick); sons Wayne (Lori) and Larry (Janice); grandchildren Angela, Lesly, Alex and Justin; great-grandchildren Bailey, Chloe, Carter and Willow. Ivy was born in Trout River, NL where she lived until she moved to Corner Brook at the age of 17.  There she met the love of her life Cyril.  After getting married they moved to Grand Falls-Windsor where they raised their family.   Ivy was a strong, proud and independent woman who will be missed by her family. At her request, there will be no visitation or church service. Ivy will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Cyril at St. Mary’s Anglican Cemetery in Curling on September 11th, 2019 at 1:00 pm, The Most Reverend S. Stewart Payne officiating. No flowers by request. Donations can be made in her memory to the Lionel Kelland Hospice or a charity of one’s choice.
