Passed away at the Westmount Nursing Home in Kitchener, Ontario at the age of 85. Predeceased by her husband Doyle Mills, June 14, 1999. Survived by 5 sons: Derek. Kitchener, ON, Raymond (Joan), Hinton, AB, Nelson (Barbara), Corner Brook, Wayne (Patricia), Corner Brook, Neil (Shelly), Kitchener, 3 daughters: Valetta Pinder, Kitchener, ON, Valda Wheeler (Glenn), Frenchman’s Cove, NL, Carol Sztorc (David), Kitchener, ON; grandchildren Clyde, Michelle, Christopher, Beverly, Nancy,Patty, Colin, Jason, Renee, Sheldon, Stephen, Cathy, Brandon, Shane, Leanne, Dustin and 11 great grandchildren. As well as her brothers Hayward (Phoebe), Ralph, both of Deer Lake, Emmanuel (Joan) of Ontario, her sisters Pearl (Lloyd Traverse), Mrs. Fannie Whalen, both of Deer Lake, Dorothy (Allan Noel) of Summerford, her sister-in-law Mrs. Joan Young of Toronto, Bessie of Deer Lake. Also leaving to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and her extended family. Ella was predeceased by her parents Henry & Naomi Young, her brothers Hector, Rex, Garfield and Wycliff, her sisters –in-law Emma & Lillian Young, Mable Rose, Mildred Wilkins her brothers-in-law William Whalen, Joe Earle, Max Loder, Art Anstey, George Rose and Egbert Wilkins, also predeceased by her son-in-law Gerald Pinder of Kitchener. The Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 30th at 2:00 p.m. from the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Philip Drive Pastor Logan officiaiting, followed by interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.. A special thanks to the staff of the Westmount Nursing Home, who took such great care of her during her last few years. All their love and attention is greatly appreciated by the entire family.
