It is with great sadness the family of the late Nolan Joseph Bennett announce his passing on Thursday, December 16, 2004 at the Health Science Centre, St. John's, at the age of 83 years. Leaving to mourn his loving wife, Anita, of 56 years, sons: Jerome (Linda), Mark (Bridgett), Aloysius, George (Leona), Adrian (Martha), Theodore (Angela), Vincent and Brian (Gloria) all of St. Georges, daughters: Marjorie (Cyril) King, Stephenville, Brenda (Percy) Young, Stephenville Crossing, Goretti (James) Downey, Halifax, Daphne Bennett and Geneva (Kevin) Dunphy of St. Georges, 16 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by two children, Mary and Andrew. The family will be receiving friends from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, St. Georges, Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place Monday, December 20, at 11:00 a.m., Father Gerard Patry and Father Thomas Duffenais officiating, with interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Shallop Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Bay St. George Bus Fund.
