It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth Mary White announce her passing at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port Aux Basques on Sunday, January 4th, 2009 at the age of 100 years. Born at Tompkins, NL, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Olive (nee Doucette) Aucoin. Also predeceased by her Husband Clement; brothers: Charlie, Philip, Berthram, Hector, William, Lawrence and Thomas (BR. Andrew); sisters: Tillie Aucoin, Annie Aucoin and Mary Benoit; brothers-in-law: Archie White and Arnold White; sisters-in-law: Margaret Luedee, Adeline O’Riley and Eva White. Leaving to mourn sisters-in-law: Mary Benoit, Monica MacIsaac and Wilfreda Bungay, along with a large circle of nieces &nephews, great-nieces & nephews, great-great-nieces & nephews and many friends. Friends visited the Church of the Precious Blood in St. Andrews on Monday 7-9 pm, Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Wednesday 9-10 am, from where the Funeral Service took place on Wednesday, January 7th at 10:30 am. Father Lee Lainey officiating. Interment followed at St. Andrews Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, the family accepted flowers or donations to the charity of one’s choice.
