SYLVIA DEANS (NEE TAPPER) Woody Point, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sylvia Deans announce her passing on Thursday, November 20th, 2008 at the J.I. O’Connell Centre, Corner Brook at the age of 92 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her son: Ralph Deans, Bahamas; two grandchildren: Alexis Jean Hill-Deans and Tapper Charles Deans; one great granddaughter: Nora Deans Hill; nieces: Mary Anderson, Hilda Hotchkins, Gayle Tapper and Janet Coombs; as well as other great nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her grandson: Christopher Deans; sisters: Agnes Tapper, Marion, Mable, Emma and three in infancy; brothers: Albert, Harry and George. Friends may visit The Anglican Church of the Epiphany, Woody Point on Sunday, from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, November 24th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Charlene Laing officiating. Interment to follow at the Church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Epiphany Church Memorial Fund or to the Mazol Temple, burnt and crippled children fund.
