BORDEN Irena Lily Belle Corner Brook, NL December 22, 1920 - October 22, 2008 Passed peacefully away at the J.I. O’Connell Centre on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008 Irena Lily Borden in her 88th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Fraser (Marilyn) Borden of Corner Brook, Judy (Charles) Vinton of San Antonio, TX, Donna (Charles) Cox of Ottawa, ON, Sharon Borden of St. John’s, Lois (Doug) Randell of Steady Brook and Kevin Borden of Corner Brook; grandchildren: John, Coby, Bob, Tina, Renee, Matthew, Brody, Stephanie, Aaron, Bradley, Trina, and Tyler, as well as great-grandchildren; sisters: Adeline Hicks of Corner Brook and Mae Soper of Scarborough, ON. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Elmo Borden, daughter Sandra Mansfield, son-in-law Wayne Mansfield, brother Bronson Howell, sister Winnifred Mullen and parents George and Winnifred Howell. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, Corner Brook on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 25th at 2:00 PM from the Salvation Army Temple with Majors Calvin and Loretta Fudge officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or a donation may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
