Myrtess Lillian Tilley Deer Lake, NL January 19, 1922 - September 8, 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Myrtess Tilley announce her passing on Monday, September 8th, 2008 at the age of 86 years. Myrtess was predeceased by her husband Clyde. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her eight children: Earl, Gloria Simmons, Bruce (Gertie), Wayne (Joanne), Terry (Glenda), Shirley (Dave) Neville, Alex (Maggie), Reg (Colleen); fifteen grandchildren: Victor (Maria), Wade, Sheldon, Larry (Patti), Clyde (Tracey), Wanda (Calvin), Linda (Rick), Bonnie (Donnie), Jason (Tanya), Tonya (Joe), Stephen, Scott (Kelly), Cory, Diane (Scott), David (Krista); twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters: Ruby Watkins and Geraldine (Hubert) Locke; two brothers: Jerry (Lillian) Chapman and Max (Geraldine) Chapman; special niece Diane Harvey; life-long friend Annie McAllister, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by one brother, Gus; two sisters: Olive Chapman and Marjorie Bennett; son-in-law: Rex Simmons and daughter-in-law: Joan. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Tuesday, 7-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 11th at 10 AM from St. Paul’s United Church, Deer Lake with Reverend Dr. Tony Newell officiating. Cremation has taken place. Interment at the United Church cemetery, Wight’s Road, Deer Lake. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the United Church Accessability Church Fund.
