Surrounded by his loving family and friends, Carl Mangrove passed away on Wednesday, August 13th, 2008 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, at the age of 45 years. He was pre-deceased by his father, James ( Oct. 1975), his mother, Effie ( June, 2007) and his sister, Nellie Curl ( April, 1999). He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Karen (nee Buckle); son Ryan; step-father Jack Bridger, Botwood; brothers: Kirby (Linda), Jackson’s Arm; Roy (Phyllis), St. Lewis, Labrador; Cliff (Diane), Sexsmith, AB; Rex, St. John’s; and sisters: Lorraine (Cyril), Halifax, NS; Marie (Mike), New Glasgow, NS; Gloria (Clyde), St. John’s; Gladys (Lorne), Botwood; father and mother-in-law Clifford and Lenora Buckle, Forteau, Labrador; brothers-in-law: Dorman (Marina), Lanse au Loup, Labrador; Rennie (Glenda), Forteau, Labrador; Todd (Katrina), Forteau, Labrador; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, members of the Upper Humber Rod and Gun Club and co-workers of the Northern Osprey. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Friday, from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, August 16th at 11:00 a.m. from St. Michael’s and All Angels Anglican Church,with Reverend Canon John Meade officiating. Interment will follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, Wight’s Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Upper Humber Rod and Gun Club.
