JOHN LEONARD SIDNEY May 24th, 1933 - August 9th, 2008 Passed away peacefully at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, John Leonard Sidney on Saturday, August 9th, 2008. Leaving to mourn, his loving wife Dorothy (nee Porter), two sons: David (Gayle), Winnipeg and Glen (Linda), Portland, Oregon, step-son Dorman (Cathy) Porter, Pasadena; brothers: William (Irma), Sydney, Nova Scotia and Leonard (Myrtle), Domion Cape Breton; sister Eleanor (Leo) Foss, Mississauga, Ontario; grandchildren: Kristi (Jamie) Curnew, Pasadena, Erika, Ottawa, Brooke, Winnipeg and one great- grandson Cameron Curnew. Also a great many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Cremation has already taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. A family gathering will be held on Tuesday, August 12th to celebrate Mr. Sidney’s life. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
