It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lawrence Gillis announce his peaceful passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Comer Brook on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at the age of 77 years. He will be sadly missed by two sons: Kenneth (Tammy) Gillis, Edmonton, AB, and Christopher (Nikki) Gillis, McIvers; one daughter: Lori (Rob) Attwood, Comer Brook; one sister: Rita Butt, Comer Brook; three grandchildren: Shana, Donna and Landon; as well as many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father, John Gillis and mother Margaret (Geoff); brothers John, Michael and Cyril Gillis and-sisters Louise Gorman, Betty Gaultois, Mary Maher, Eleanor Mulvenna, Margaret Walsh and Joan McPherson. Friends may visit St. Columcille Roman Catholic Church, St. Fintans on Thursday evening from 7-9:00 p.m., from where the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 26th at 10:00 A.M.. Pastoral Administrator, Peter Mackey officiating. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Highlands. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Palliative Care Unit at WMR Hospital in Comer Brook would be gracious1y accepted.
