PITTMAN Caroline Mary (nee Gale) Sops Arm, NL November 12th, 1910 - June 15th, 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Caroline Pittman announce her passing on Sunday, June 15th, 2008 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 97 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Rita Budden (Gilbert), Sops Arm, Golda Hewitt (James), Jacksons Arm, Cecily Ricketts (Frank), Deer Lake, David Pittman, Sops Arm, daughter-in-law Pearl Pittman, Sops Arm, uncle Obediah Ricks, Grand Falls-Windsor; aunts: Priscilla Parrill, St. Anthony and Ethal Ricks, Sops Arm, 28 grandchildren and a large number of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert, sons Robert, Freeman and Winston, daughters Susie, Emily and Wavie, grandson Francis and granddaughter Telma. Friends may visit the Transfiguration Anglican Church in Sops Arm on Tuesday from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th at 2:00 PM with Rev. Hannah Dicks officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
