Obituary of Olivera Mary Swyers

It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Olivera Swyers announce her passing on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL at the age of 89 years.  She will be forever remembered and loved by her husband of 67 years Harold; children:  Christine (John) Merrigan, Eugene (Joan Doucette) Swyers, Rick (Myra) Swyers; son-in-law Barry Noftall; special nephew Peter (Mary) Muise; grandchildren:  Lori (Warren), Sonia (Josh), Whitney (Alastair), Kelly, Leah, Blair (Holly), Lynette; great-grandchildren:  Mckayla, Owen, Nathan, Hannah, Elise, Amy, Steven as well as many nieces, nephews other family and friends.  She was pre-deceased by her parents John and Mary Muise; daughters:  Linda, Marlene and 13 siblings.  The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital for their dedication and care of their mom during her time there.  Visitation will take place on Friday, October 26, 2018 between the hours of 7 – 9 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Parish, St. George’s, NL from where the funeral mass will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Edmund Dantes officiating.   Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery,  Shallop Cove will take place following the service.  As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
