John Michael

Pasadena, NL

 July 6, 1949 – August 11, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of John Kennedy of Pasadena, NL. Left to honour and remember his love are his loving wife of 46 years, Theresa, his two children, John Jr (Jennifer) of Fredericton, NB, and Stacy (Angela) of Thompson, MB, and three grandchildren Sara (10), Josephine (8) and Jase (3). John is also survived by his sister Mary (late Bud) Corbin, Jackie (Bill) Hookey, Suzanne (Marcus) Martin, sister-in-law Marjorie, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends whom he loved very much.

John is predeceased by his parents, Janet and Adolph Kennedy, and his brother Robert.

Known to many as Jobbie, he was a hard-working man who loved and appreciated a good prank and a good laugh.  He will always be remembered as a kind and caring man, who would do anything for anyone. He had a talent to build and create anything with his hands.

John enjoyed hunting and fishing, antique cars, and working in his garage, where many memories were made and many drinks were shared with good buddies.

John was a loving husband, father, son, brother, friend, and neighbor; he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Holy Rosary Parish, 1 Columbus Way in Pasadena.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to the Parkinson’s Society of Canada (parkinson.ca).
