Eileen Maria Park John’s Beach, NL 1924 - 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eileen Park announce her passing on Thursday, April 24th, 2008 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 83 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons: William (Bernice), Corner Brook, Wayne (Eileen), John’s Beach, Eric (Sandra), Ottawa, Rodney (Elaine), Benoit’s Cove, Ronald (Linda), John’s Beach; daughter: Joan Hickey (Willis), John’s Beach; 17 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; sisters: Pearl (Stanley Park), Cox’s Cove, and Susan Simms, Ontario; son-in-law: William MacDonald, Frenchman’s Cove; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband, George Stanley Park, (1971); daughter: Alice MacDonald (June, 2007); sons: Murdock and Ralph; brothers: William, Herbert and Joseph; sisters: Mary, Beatrice, Bridie, Elsie and Molly; parents: Ellen Jane and John Park. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. and Saturday morning from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Ambrose Anglican Church, John’ Beach, Reverend Nellie Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to St. Ambrose Church memorial fund.
