Viola COLLINS Corner Brook, NL January 18, 1921 - September 6, 2007 Passed peacefully away at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Thursday, September 6th, 2007, in the presence of her loving family, Viola Collins in her 86th year. Left to mourn her passing are sons: Reginald (Sylvia Janes), Corner Brook, Robert (Judy Crane), Toronto; daughters: Mona (Wycliffe) Stratton, Corner Brook, Shirley (Carl) King, Corner Brook; nine grandchildren: Don and Lisa King, Darren and Paul Stratton, Beth Woodland (nee Stratton), Jon and Craig Collins, Susan Gomes (nee Collins), Tammy Dubé (nee Collins); 13 great-grandchildren; brothers: Freeman (Nellie) House, Bellburns, Mack (Eileen) House, Hawke’s Bay; sister-in-law Elizabeth House, Bellburns and special friend Rosetta. Also mourning her passing, a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick Collins (June 14, 1998); parents Gertrude and Jesse House; sister and brother-in-law Thelma and Jacob Smith; brothers: Riley House, Reggie House and sister Rachael House. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Saturday between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.The Funeral Service will take place on Sunday, September 9th at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Temple, Major Joyce Stuckless officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Temple Memorial Fund, Corner Brook.
