ALVIN ERIC JAMES MOORES August 12, 1938 … August 26, 2007 Deer Lake, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alvin Moores announce his passing on Sunday, August 26th, at his family residence at the age of 69 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Mabel; children: Wavey (Michael) Goodwin, Yarmouth, NS, Christine (William) Young, Eric (Carolynn) Moores, Roy (Michelle), Moores, Wesley (Kim) Moores; Mabelline (Paul Parsons), Pamela (Rick) Goobie, Dale (Jim) Brady, all of Deer Lake; 19 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters: Bonnie (Aubrey) Janes, Reidville, Byril Janes, Grand Falls-Windsor, Myrtle Coish, Grand Falls-Windsor, Joy Stuckless, Deer Lake; brother: Bruce Moores, Grand Falls-Windsor, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents: Pleamon and Gladys Moores; sisters: Margaret and Ruby and brothers Fred, Edward, George and Wesley. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Wednesday, August 29th from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 30th at 2:00 from the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Deer Lake, Pastor Terry Snow officiating, interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Wights Road.
