Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gideon Simms announce his passing on Thursday, September 2nd, 2004 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 76th year. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 56 years Glenneth (nee Knee); children: Robert (Emily), Massy Drive, Barbara, Corner Brook, Ellen (Sergio), Brain (Anne), Karl, Ruth, David (Marie) and Lisa (George), all of Ontario; grandchildren: Patricia, Jamie, of Corner Brook, Tony, B.C., Samantha, Matthew, Tyson, Kielie, Kye, Nicole and Sheldon, all of Ontario; great-grandchild Breanna, sisters: Olive and Edna; brothers: Harvey and Herbert; along with a large circle of other relatives and many friends. He was predeceased by parents: Abram and Helen Simms and sister-in-law Eliza. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Friday 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. the funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 5th at 2:00 p.m. from Humber United Church, Clarence Street. Reverend Patricia Melendy officiating . Cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation or a charity of one's choice.
