Matilda Dolina Burridge McIver’s, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Matilda Burridge announce her passing on Friday, July 27th, 2007 at Western Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 86 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her eight children: Bertram, Benjamin (Doilie), Carson (Sheila), Derek (Diane), Calvin (Judy), all of McIvers, Warrick (Beverly), Kitchener, Ontario, Marion Burridge, Mt. Pearl and Joan Delaney (Maurice), Cox’s Cove; 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; one surviving brother: Dawson Cain Lovell (Iris), McIver’s; one surviving sister: Gladys Park , McIver’s; sister-in-law; Margaret Lovell, McIver’s; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents: Henry and Rose Lovell; husband, Bertram Burridge Sr. (1992), daughter: Verna; sisters: Alice Park (John), Elizabeth Parsons (Joseph), Dorothy House (John); brothers: Wallace Lovell (Phoebe) and John Lovell; daughter-in-law: Linda Burridge and brother-in-law: George Park. Friends may visit the Epiphany Anglican church, McIver’s beginning Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m, continuing on Monday from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 31st at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Joan Coles officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Epiphany Church Memorial fund.
