ETHEL BLANCHE SCHWARTZ (nee Dewey) December 31st, 1909 - June 21st, 2007 Deer Lake, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ethel B. Schwartz announce her passing on Thursday, June 21st, 2007 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 97 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Harold (Phyllis), Deer Lake, Leonard (Barbara), St. John’s, Bernard (Marie), Deer Lake and John (Beverly), St. John’s; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Eva Schwartz, Springdale and brother-in-law Hubert Butler, Sarnia. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Samuel, son Edward, daughter-in-law Patricia, parents Samuel and Sussahanna Dewey, brother Fred, sisters Anne and Theresa. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Friday from the hours of 7-9 PM and Saturday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 24th at 2:00 PM from Emmanuel Pentecostal Church with Pastor Terry Snow officiating. Interment to follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
