It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edith Sexton announce her passing on Thursday, August 26, 2004 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook in her 81st year. Edith was born in Germany in 1923 and immigrated to Newfoundland with her husband and family in 1951. She was predeceased by her first husband Harry Staeben in 1954 and her second husband Chesley Sexton in 1996. Also predeceased by brother Walter Jacob of Corner Brook and sister Lotte Lanskis of Australia in 2004. She will be sadly missed by her children - Klaus Staeben (Rosemary) of Milltown, Bernd Staeben (Rochelle), Corner Brook, Renate Horne (Wayne), Ottawa, ON, and Erika Keddy (George), Dartmouth, NS; seven grandchildren: Sandra, Danica and Paul Staeben, Heidi and Brent Staeben, and Michelle and Christopher Horne. \Oma\ to thirteen precious great grandchildren, as well as survived by dear sister-in-law: Nina Basha(Reg), Corner Brook, Blanche Rowsell, Dartmouth, NS, and Grace Bowes(ken), Saint John,NB. Granting her wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will be receiving friends at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Ave on Sunday, 3:00p.m to 4:30p.m. followed by a Memorial Service. Interment to follow at Townsite Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation, 6 floor or to the charity of ones choice.
