It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dermott Joseph Tobin announce his passing on Tuesday, May 29th, 2007 in St. John’s, NL at the age of 85 years. He will be sadly missed by his children: Ann Marie and Georgina (Steve); granddaughters: Tanya and Danielle; sister Mona; brother Ben (Theresa); special niece Yvonne (Wayne) and special nephew Brendan (Mercedes), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Mame; parents Joseph and Mary; four sisters and two brothers. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley Goose Bay on Wednesday and Thursday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Friday, June 1st at 2:00 p.m. from Our Lady Queen Peace Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
