It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maurice Tulk announce his passing on Wednesday, April 9th, 2008 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 75 years. Maurice was an active Mason and a member of Lodge Loman. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is his wife: Jean; sons: Craig, St. John’s, and Michael (Norma), Calgary, AB; three grandchildren: Lindsey, Gavin and Stephen; brothers: George (Joan) and Jim (Sandra); sisters: Joan Ford (Don) and Bonnie Wicks (Wilson); sisters-in-law: Edith Tulk, Jackie (Clarence) Rose, Josephine (Esau) Hopkins, Judy (Richard) Tolmie and Joyce Locke; brothers-in-law: Richard Locke (Val) and Art Locke (Marina), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents: Walter and Pearl Tulk, and brother, Robert (Bob) Tulk. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 12th at 2:00 p.m. from the Cathedral of St. John The Evangelist, Main Street. Rev. Michael Rice officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
