PETER HANS DECKERT Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Peter Hans Deckert announce his passing on Sunday, May 13th, 2007 at home in his 66th year. He was predeceased by his parents Dr. Wilhelm Deckert, MD and Ingeborg Bethge. He leaves to mourn his wife Marjorie of 42 years; stepmother Brigitta Deckert, brothers: Klaus (Inge) and Franz (Birget); sisters: Antje Henschel and Lilo Pohlmann and members of the Kennedy family. Peter emigrated to Canada from Germany in 1963. He moved to the United States in 1966. Peter graduated from Huntingdon University in Alabama with a B.A. in Business (Cum Laude). He earned an MBA (Honors) in International Business from the University of Miami. Peter worked in international development for several years before retiring to Corner Brook with his wife Marjorie. Peter was instrumental in helping to establish Immaculate Heart of Mary School and he served on the Board of Directors for a number of years. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday from the hours of 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 15th at 10:30 a.m. from All Hallows Parish, Humber Road with Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations gratefully accepted to the Monsignor Boone Memorial Bursary Fund of the Immaculate Heart of Mary School.
