It is with great sadness that the family of the late WILSON KENDELL announce his sudden passing on Sunday, May 6th 2007 at his family residence, York Harbour in his 76th year. Leaving to mourn wife of 51 years Melissa (nee: Childs); 6 children: Lou (Marina), Gander, Gary (Chris), Comox, Mike (Susan), St. John’s, Morris (Ivy), Portugal Cove, Sharon (Larry), St. John’s, Brian (Daphne), St. John’s; grandchildren: Valerie, Candace, Suzanne, Jade, Derek, Melanie, Brittany, Chelsea, Andrew, Jacinta, Megan, Ian and Joshua; brothers & sisters: Pearl Sheppard (Alan), Arch Kendell (Lois), Charlotte Sheppard; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents Charles & Deborah Kendell, infant daughter Debra Jane; brothers & sisters: Mary Joyce, Olive Sheppard, Melina Childs, Susannah Snooks, Amelia Childs, George Kendell, Henry Kendell, Clarence Kendell, Gordon Kendell, Jim Kendell. The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 10th at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Lark Harbour Reverend Nellie Thomas officiating, followed by the interment at the church cemetery. Friends may visit St. James Church Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made St. James Church, Victorian Order of Nurses or the Canadian Cancer Society.
