September 23rd, 1948 - April 25th, 2007
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Vera Cavella Simms announce her passing on Wednesday, April 25th, 2007 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 58 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Lloyd, father Phillip Gilley, brother Ivan, sisters: Ruth, Joan, Patricia (Pat) and special friend Bramwell Barnes. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Eileen Gilley. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 28th at 2:00 p.m. from Emmanuel Pentecostal Church with Pastor Terry Snow officiating. Interment to follow at Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Emmanuel Pentecostal Church Memorial Fund. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
