It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dick Hounsell announce his sudden passing on Saturday, April 14th, 2007 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 80 years . Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children: Myra (John), Duke (Lynda), Paul (Lorraine) and Patricia (Ernest); sisters: Florence Baldwin (Willis) and Lillian Oake (Fred); sisters-in-law: Eva Young (Rex), Sadie Linstead (Baxter), Shirley Martin (Tom) and Jean Hounsell; brothers-in-law: Norman Simms and George Roberts; grandchildren: Susan Smith (Nathan), Stephen Shears, John Butler (Sherry), Jason Hounsell, (Raedel), Trina Clarke (Dave), Martin Hounsell (Kristen), Michael Hounsell, Paula Simms, Sarah Simms and Alexander Simms; great-grandchildren: Madison LaLonde, Abbey and Jackson Butler, Taylor and Brandon Clarke, Megan and Nathan Carroll and Jasmine Smith; as well as a very large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his loving wife Violet, February 3, 2000; parents: Walter and Marjorie; sister Claudine,brother Walter, brother-in-law: Gerald Gillingham; sisters-in-law: Lillian Simms and Fronia Roberts.Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The last half hour of each evening will be for those who wish to give a tribute in honor of Dick. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 17th, at 10:00 A.M. from All Saints Church, Clarence Street. Canon Derek Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, donations may be made to All Saints Church Memorial Fund.
