MATILDA PIERCEY Cox’s Cove, NL Nov. 24th, 1913 - Apr. 5th, 2008 	 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Matilda Piercey announce her passing on Saturday, April 5th, 2008 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 94 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Martha (Keith) Higgins, Bill (Georgina), Murdock (Maude), Effie (Cyril) Irving, Charles, Dorothy Brown, Ken (Phoebe Brake), Violet (Butch) Taylor, Melvin (Judy) and Gary (Joy Thistle), 20 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald, parents Moses and Grace, son Ronald “Moses”, daughter-in-law Collette, son-in-law Daniel and many brothers and sisters. Friends may visit St. Nicholas’ Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove on Sunday beginning 7:00 PM and Monday from where the funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 8th at 3:30 PM with Rev. Joan Coles officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to St. Nicholas’ Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
