October 20th, 1923 - February 16th, 2007
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dolores Assiff announce her sudden passing at the Atlantic Care Medical Centre in New Jersey on Friday, February 16th, 2007 at the age of 83 years. Dolores was a veteran and honorably discharged from the Royal Canadian Airforce. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her four children: Keene Marks (Bernard), George J. Assiff, Mark Assiff and Elizabeth J. Breslin; four precious grandchildren: Tosha Vickers (Stuart), Michael G. Assiff, Nicole S. Breslin and Georges E. Assiff; two adoring great grandchildren: Lourdes and Ainsleigh Vickers; brothers: Eugene McCarthy (Mona), Edward and Denis McCarthy; sister-in-law: Ruby McCarthy, as well as a very large circle of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband George Assiff Jr.; brothers: James, John and Richard; sister: Jane Clements and parents Eugene and Elsie McCarthy. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, March 1st at 10:30 A.M. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Fr. Edwin Gale officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Holy Redeemer Parish or to the charity of ones choice.
