SIDNEY GOOSNEY PARSONS POND, NL March 9, 1919 - February 23, 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sidney Goosney announce is passing on Friday, February 23rd, 2007 at the Bonne Bay Health Centre, Norris Point at the age of 87 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: son: Felix (Florence); daughters: Laura (Wilf) Caines and Kitty Keough; step-son: Charles Thornhill (Rita); step-daughter-in-law: Almeda Thornhill; brother: Clyde (Ivy); sisters-in-law: Hulda and Hannah; three grandsons: Sidney (Lynn), Stephan (Sherry) and Kent (Samantha); four granddaughters: Martha (Jan), Lora, Kensie (Jon) and Elaine (Steve); three great grandsons: Nicholas, Zachary and Steven; one great granddaughter: Brianna; one great great grandson: Aiden; three grand daughters by choice: Samantha, Michelle and Alex; three special nephews: Oz, Paul and Barry Keough and families; seven step-granddaughters, six step grandsons, 10 step great grand daughters and ten step great grandsons; three step great great granddaughters and three step great great grandsons, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by wife Elsie; parents: Thomas and Rubena; brothers: Leslie, Hebbert, Gilbert and Robert; sister-in-law: Beatrice; step-son: Samuel Thornhill; step-daughter and son-in-law: Viola and Chris Perry; step-granddaughter: Madge Payne. Friends may visit St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Parsons Pond beginning Saturday evening from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, February 26th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend James Pratt officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to St. Peter’s Church Memorial Fund.
