VERA LEONA SHORT Heatherton, NL 1947 - 2006 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Vera Short announce her passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, on Monday, September 11th, 2006 at the age of 59 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories husband Clarence; sons: Jim (Corleen), Whitby, ON, Trevor, Fort MacMurray, AB; sisters: Valerie (Leslie) Hulan, Stephenville, Joyce (Churchill) Morris, Heatherton, Evelyn (Scott) Windsor, Triton and Margaret (Roy) Butt, Heatherton; brothers: Nelson (Muriel) Brown, Heatherton and Wade Brown, Fort MacMurray, AB; grandchildren: Courtney and Logan, along with a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by parents George and Martha Brown; brothers: Bernard, Kevin and Terry. Friends may visit The United Church in Heatherton on Wednesday 11 am - 9 pm and Thursday 10am - 12 noon, from where the Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, September 14th at 2:00 pm, Reverend Marilyn Avery officiating. Interment will follow at the United Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.
