It is with great sadness that the family of the late ALPHONSUS JOHN ROWSELL announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday, September 2nd, 2006 at the age of 68. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 37 years, Marjorie (nee: Nolan); sons: Stephen, Halifax, NS, Terry, Corner Brook, grandson Riley; sisters: Stella Regush, Vancouver, BC, Sharon McHugh (Eugene), Clagary, AB, brother Gerry Rowsell (Bernice); sisters-in-law: Priscilla Boutcher, Corner Brook, Lillian Hayes (Patrick), ON, Dorothy Gough (Bill), Corner Brook, Patsy Nolan, Corner Brook, Marie Nolan, Brigus as well as a large number of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents Stephen & Ethel Rowsell; sisters & brothers-in-law: Patricia & Leo Pike, Sheila & Jack Boland, Bernice & Fred Jones, Harry Regush; brothers: Patrick, Stephen, Aiden and Michael. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 5th at 10:30 a.m. from Sacred Heart Church, Curling Street Father Bernard Buckle officiating followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Parkinson's Society of Newfoundland & Labrador.
