MCHUGH Gertrude Mary Corner Brook, NL July 26, 1933 - September 1, 2006 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gertrude McHugh (nee French) announce her passing on Friday, September 1st, 2006 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 73 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her three daughters: Janet Rideout (Whycliff), Joan Price (Raymond) and Judy McHugh-Hynes (Gerald); three grandchildren: Justin, Adam and Stephanie; sisters: Sheila Fewer (Leo), Shirley Rex and Joan Williams; brothers: Cyril French (Grace) and John French (Jean); as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Reginald, September 20th, 2005, parents: William and Mary French; sister: Jean; brothers: John, Gerard, Kevin and Bill; brothers-in-law: Bob Rex and Dr. John Williams. Friends may visit Fillatre`s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Sunday, September 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of christian burial will be held on Monday, September 4th at 10:30 A.M. from The Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador.
