PRETTY Florence Elsie St. David’s, NL September 23rd, 1947 - August 1st, 2006 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Pretty announce her sudden passing at her family residence in St. David’s on Tuesday, August 1st, 2006 in her 58th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Robert Shears, daughter Elizabeth Pretty (Steve Jackman), Corner Brook, mother Elizabeth Piercy, Dildo, Trinity Bay, brother Charles (Audrey) Pretty, Herring Neck, sisters: Joan (Pat) Conors, Labrador City, Barbara (Walter) Stevens, Main Brook, Norma Pretty (Gerry Marche), Labrador City, brother-in-law Kinsley Welsh, Dildo. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father Peter Pretty and sister Irene Welsh. The family will be receiving friends from St. Michaels’ & all Angels Anglican Church, St. David’s on Thursday from the hours of 3-5 PM & 7-9 PM with a family service beginning at 7:00 PM & Friday 10 -12 noon, from where the funeral service will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM with Rev. Lorne Gosse officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to St. Michaels’ & all Angels Memorial Fund.
