HYNES CHARLES EDWARD (ED) Corner Brook, NL 1954 - 2006 Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, July 26th, 2006, Ed Hynes at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. Ed’s warm smile and great sense of humor will surely be missed by everyone who was blessed to have a friend like Ed in their lives. Leaving to mourn with many beautiful memories his loving and devoted wife Lynn and his eternally grateful son Drew. Ed also leaves to mourn his mother Maisie, his brother: Ben (Catherine); sisters: Barbara Hynes, Judy Pittman, Vera Lynn (George) Alteen and Joy (Patrick) Howard; father and mother -in-law: Bert and Isobel Brake; brother-in-law: Peter (Bobbie) Brake ; sisters-in-law: Lori (John) Veitch and Juanita Brake, as well as nieces, nephews, and a large circle of friends. Ed was predeceased by his father Horace (Ben); brother-in-law: Bert Brake Jr. and nephews Nathan and Shaun Brake. By request of Ed, cremation has taken place and the family will be receiving friends at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Friday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m.. The memorial service will take place from All Hallows Church, Humber Road on Saturday, July 29th at 10:30 A.M. Interment will follow at the Anglican Section of Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Cancer Centre, Western Region or to the Bay of Islands SPCA.
