ELMS Willis Jr. Paradise, NL (Formerly of Reidsville) It is with great sadness that the family of the late Willis Elms Jr. announce his tragic passing on Tuesday, July 11th, 2006 as the result of an industrial accident at the Deer Lake Regional Airport. He was 57 years of age. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 34 years Pauline (Coles), two loving children: Robin Willis (Cynthia Howse), Deer Lake and Nicole (David) Butt, Paradise and his little buddy Keegan (grandson), brothers & sisters: George (Marion), Sops Arm; Onslo (Willie “Chop”) Anstey, Grand Prairie, AB; Geraldine (Winston “Toot”) Janes, Reidsville; Scott (Ida), Reidsville, Arthur (Juanita), Nicholsville; Carl, USA; Jenny Thomas (Michael Colford), Moncton, NB; sister-in-law Pauline Elms, Kitchner, ON; brother-in-law Rendell Thomas, Edmonton, AB; Also missed by Pauline’s brothers & sisters: Miriam (Hubert) Genge, Anchor Point; Albert (Rita) Coles, Savage Cove; Rose (Gord) Reid, St. John’s; Linda Coles (Chesley Keats), St. John’s; Terry (Nancy) Coles, Savage Cove; Matthew (Margaret) Coles, Savage Cove; George (Bertha) Coles, Savage Cove. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Willis Sr. & Minnie Elms, brother Rex, half-sister Inez, parents-in-law Marcia & Harris Coles, Savage Cove. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Thursday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 14th at 2:00 PM from St. Michaels’ & all Angels Anglican Church, Deer Lake with Rev. John Meade & Bishop Mark Genge officiating. Interment to follow at Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, Wight’s Road. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
