It is with great sadness we announce that Roy Reader was called home on Wednesday, July 12th, 2006 at the age of 94 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife Mildred. He was dearly beloved by his first wife Nita, who gave him a family of 4 children: Reg (Grace), Quinton (Melinda), Randy (Brenda) and Shirley (Newman) Hicks; 28 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; along with many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Aubrey and Caroline Reader. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 7 West Street, Stephenville Crossing, on Thursday, July 13th between the hours of 7-9:00 p.m. and Friday, 10-12 noon,from where a private family service will be held on Friday, July 14th at 2:00 p.m., Pastor Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow at the Salvation Army Section of Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
