It is with great sadness that the family of the Moses Burton announce his passing on Friday, July 7th, 2006 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 88 years. He was a WW11 Veteran serving in the Royal Navy. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: sons: Frank , Calgary, AB, Ken, Edmonton, AB, Eric (Karen), Camrose, AB; daughter: Roseann White, Stephenville; nine precious grandchildren: John, Jake, Rachel, Carter, Spencer, Marissa and Austin Burton, Brittany and Brent White; two brothers: Fred Burton (Flo) and Burkley Burton, Ontario; sister: Triffie Crocker, Hearts Delight; sisters-in-law: Audrey (Victor) French, Clarke’s Beach, Kathleen Murphy, Calgary, AB,; brother-in-law: George Pye (Olivera), Tumbler Ridge, BC; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and comrades. Predeceased by his wife Jean (nee Pye), December 6, 2002, brothers; Thomas and Heber Burton; sisters: Lillian, Hilda and Elsie; parents: Frank and Annie Burton; brothers-in-law: Leonard and Harvey Pye. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Saturday evening, 7-9:00 p.m., Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 10th at 2:00 p.m. from St. George of England Church, Cormack, Rev. Roberta Woodman officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Anglican Church Memorial Fund, Cormack.
