HICKS BEATRICE LOUISA CORNER BROOK, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Beatrice Hicks announce her passing on Saturday, July 1st, 2006 at the Interfaith Home for Seniors, at the age of 92 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Florence (Jim) Loughlin, Corner Brook, Bill (Brenda) Hicks, Deep Bight, Trinity Bay, Derek (Marion) Hicks, Diane (Doug) Jenkins, Corner Brook and Tony (Colleen) Hicks, Palocedro, California; 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; two sisters: Elizabeth Hayden and Bertha Fradsham, both residing at the Interfaith Cottages; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Leslie, son; Reginald, daughter: Marion; brothers: Maxwell and Garfield, parents Cyril and Florence Simmonds. Friends may visited Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Sunday, 7-9:00 p.m., Monday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 4th at 2:00 p.m. from Humber United Church, Clarence street, Rev. Clayton Parsons officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation or to the Humber United Church Memorial Fund.
