SHEARS HILDA MAY Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hilda Shears announce her passing on Wednesday, June 21st, 2006 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the at age of 93 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Peggy Jacobs, Spruce Brook, Bessie (Reg) Reid, Corner Brook, Bob (Sadie) Shears, Port Aux Basques, and Tim (Margaret) Shears, St. John's; ten grandchildren: Karl, Glen, John, Joanne, Colleen, Kim, Robert, Merrill, Kaitlyn and Devon; eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; brother: Gerald (Shirley) Goosney, Corner Brook; sister-in-law: Millie Goosney, Corner Brook, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert, sisters: Rose and Eva; brothers: Ray and Ed. The family will be receiving friends from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 23rd at 10:30 A.M. from the Salvation Army Temple, O'Connell Drive. Majors Gary and Sharon Cooper officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
