Davis Ethel Gertrude (nee Gosse) Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ethel Davis announce her passing on Friday, June 16th, 2006 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 78 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her 5 children: Rosalind Pinsent (Wayne), Paulette Jesty (Calvin), John Davis (Catherine) all of Corner Brook, Geoff Davis (Maureen), Ottawa and Gregg Davis, Stephenville. 9 grandchildren: Jackie (Pinsent) White, Stephen Pinsent, Brandy & Jason Jesty, Joshua & Benjamin Davis, Christian Davis, Caitlin & Patrick Davis, whom she devoted all her time too. 2 brothers: Jack Chipman (Ruby), Bay Roberts and Harry Chipman (Shirley), Mt. Pearl, 4 sisters-in-law: Ena Penney (Steve), St. John's, Fern Dove (Al), Selma Davis and Sadie Davis all of Corner Brook. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Ken Davis, 2005, parents Amelia, 1940 & Henry, 1929. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Monday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 20th at 2:00 PM from St. John he Evangelist Anglican Cathedral, Main Street with the Very Rev. Michael Rice and Archbishop Stewart Payne officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross.
