Passed away at her home in Angus, Ontario on Monday, June 5th, 2006. Serena Brown (LeRoux) formerly of Corner Brook, NL in her 88th year. She was the beloved mother of Alma LaRocque-Jones of Michigan and Gary Brown of Angus. Loving grandmother of Debbie VanderHeyden and her husband Robert of Barrie,ON ,Charlene Turpin and her husband Mark of St John's, Terry Brown and his wife Kelly, Donna Brown of Corner Brook and Lisa LaRocque; seven great grandchildren. Dear sister of Bryant LeRoux of Barrie,ON, Loretta Sharpe of Corner Brook, NL, Joan Piercey of Brampton, On and Pearl Penny of Burlington, On. Also remembered by Ina Brown of St. John's. Predeceased by her sons: Donald 1991 and David, 1994. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home 4 St. Marks Avenue Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 10th at 2:00 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street, Reverend Derek Thomas officiating, followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
