GILLIS ANNE MARY CORNER BROOK, NL 1920 - 2006 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Anne Gillis (nee Quilty) announce her passing on Wednesday, April 5th, 2006 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: her daughter: Margie Gillis (Richard), Corner Brook; six sons: Ted, Corner Brook, Calvin (Isabel), Corner Brook, David (Mary), Pickering, ON, James, Corner Brook, Jerry (Bessie), Ajax, ON and Ron (Margie), Loch Leven; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; surviving brothers: Michael (Angela) Quilty, Corner Brook, Joseph (Nora) Quilty, Stephenville Crossing, Thomas (Anna) Quilty, Corner Brook and Cyril (Nora) Stephenville, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband: Anthony Joseph, 2001, daughter-in-law: Margaret Gillis, 1991; brothers: Arthur, Alec and William; sisters: Mary and Veronica; and parents: Michael and Margaret Quilty. Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Thursday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 8th at 10:30 A.M. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Rev. Fr. Edwin Gale officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
